Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
On the 1st day of the safari, depending on your location, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from your hotel in Kampala or from Entebbe International Airport. He will welcome you and then brief you about 5 days Queen and Bwindi safari. After the briefing you will start on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park and then along the way you will make a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for taking pictures, and then have the equator experience to witness the Northern and then Southern hemispheres, then grab a cup of coffee if you want you can as well purchase yourself African crafted souvenir. After the experience you will continue with your journey and then make another stopover in Mbarara for the en-route lunch. After lunch, you will proceed with your journey to Queen with the stunning views along the including, including the crater lakes, views of the banana and then tea plantations and among many others. Once upon you arrive, you will be transferred to your lodge with the en-route game viewing of the great elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs and among others minus forgetting the bird species. You will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drives and then launch boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park.
Wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast, meet your safari guide and then transfer for the morning game drive in the park to spot the early risers this is the period when the animals are active, and you will spot African elephants, impalas, antelopes, buffaloes, antelopes, various bird species like African fish eagles, bee-eaters, African jacana, cattle egrets, and among others, after the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will meet your safari guide and then go for the afternoon launch cruise along Kazinga channel this is exciting and interesting that takes you about 2 to 3 hours, this offers you the opportunity to come up close with the hippos, crocodiles and among other acquatic life and various bird species that offers you the best part of the safari with everlasting safari memories. After you will return to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park through Ishasha sector.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and start on your journey through passing in Ishasha to look for the tree climbing lions on a lucky day, along the experience you will spot other park animals across. You will later continue with your journey with the en-route lunch along the way. After as you approach the areas of Bwindi you will be welcomed by the cool atmosphere of the place with unique spotting of the beautiful landscapes, terraced farms and among others. And once you arrive to your lodge your will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park.
On the 4th day of the safari, get up in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast together with your packed lunch, meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups of about 8 members per group, and each group will be assigned with the experienced park ranger and park guide to lead them in the forest to look for the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas, this is where you will trek through the steep, densely forested hills while thrilled with the various primates, bird species, and animal species and among many others in the forest. And once you find the gorillas you will be given one hour to be in the presence of the gorillas that is keeping 7 meters away from them. This is when you will watch the gorillas doing their daily activities like playing, grooming, feeding, mating and others. During that period that’s when you will take the pictures and then recording their videos. And after the experience you will trek back to the starting point and then your driver guide will transfer you to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure to Kampala.
On the last day of the safari, you will get up early in the morning and then enjoy your hearty breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet up with your driver guide and then embark on your journey back to Kampala. Along the way you will have the enroute lunch in Mbarara, and after lunch you will proceed with your journey to Kampala. And upon your arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport to catch a flight back home or dropped at your hotel in Kampala that will make your safari come to the end.
