5 Days Bwindi and Kibale.
5 days Bwindi and Kibale are the exceptional Uganda primate safaris that takes you to both gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park. This is the outstanding safari experience that takes you to Uganda’s incredible rain tropical forests and offers you the endless safari memories your entire life.
Day 1: Pick and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
On the first day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from Entebbe international Airport or from your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala, he will brief you about the safari. Then start on your scenic journey to Bwindi with the stopover at the equator and take beautiful pictures.
Later proceed with your journey and make another stopover in Mbarara for en-route lunch, after lunch continue with your journey until you reach in Bwindi check in your lodge, for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
After breakfast, meet your safari guide with all your gorilla trekking requirements and transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing for gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the location of gorillas, but once found you will spend one hour in the presence of gorillas, watching them doing their daily activities like feeding, grooming, breastfeeding and others, taking pictures though with no flash.
After the experience you may go for optional Batwa cultural experience or return back to your lodge for relaxation, later dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park.
After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and then begin your journey to Kibale Forest national park towards Fort Portal town in southern Uganda with the thrilling sceneries along the way. You will enjoy your en-route lunch along the way, embark on your journey until you reach your lodge in Kibale, check in for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland walk in Kibale Forest national park.
After breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking, after you will step in the forest and look for the chimpanzees and this takes about 30 minutes to 3 hours.
Once you meet the chimpanzees you will spend three hours in their presence, taking their pictures, watching them doing their daily activities. After you will be transferred to the back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will go for a walk in Bigodi wetland/swamps and you will witness the beautiful nature with massive biodiversity. Later transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: departure.
On the final day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After checkout from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and start on your journey back to Kampala, with the en-route lunch along the away.
Upon your arrival your safari guide will drop you off at your convenient place either at Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home or to your hotel in Kampala that will make your safari come to the end.
