Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls national park.
On the 1st day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from the hotel in Kampala or from Entebbe International Airport, he will welcome you and brief you about 4 day Ziwa rhino trekking and Murchison falls park safari. After the briefing you will begin your journey to Murchison falls national park. Along the way you will have stopovers like at market centers to where you will buy fresh fruits like mangoes, yellow bananas, oranges, mangoes, and among many others. You later proceed with your journey and make another stopover and enjoy lunch with stunning views in Masindi, and after lunch you will head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is where you will do an exciting rhino tracking experience and get the chance to spot the numerous rhinos while grazing close to you. After rhino tracking, you will proceed to Murchison falls national park and upon arrival you will be transferred to your lodge in the park then check in for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and Afternoon boat cruise.
Morning game drive.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast, after breakfast you will meet with your safari guide and then transfer to the park for the amazing experience to spot the park’s great animal species that includes, lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, cheetahs, elephants, and among many others. The game drive takes about 3 hours to 4 hours, to the best game tracks that offers you everlasting safari memories. After the game drive you will be transferred to the lodge for lunch.
Boat cruise.
After lunch, you will meet your safari guide and then transfer for the afternoon boat cruise, this is amazing cruising while spotting the top water of the Murchison falls, while spotting the diverse numbers of hippopotamuses, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, on the banks of the Murchison falls, and viewing diverse numbers of the bird species like the famous Shoebill storks, African fish eagles, herons, and among many others. After the boat cruise you will be returned to the lodge for your relaxing, dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, meet your safari guide and transfer to Budongo forest for the chimpanzee trekking safari experience in Budongo forest. This is where you will be transferred to the headquarters for the briefing about the rules, regulations to consider during chimpanzee trekking at the offices of Uganda Wildlife Authority. After the briefing you will be transferred to the forest while accompanied with the skilled and then experienced park rangers and park guides in the different groups.
Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest takes a period of about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees because these creatures like moving in various parts of the forest looking for food, shelter and others. Along the way looking for the chimpanzees you will be attracted with the unique sighting of the animal species, bird species, plant species, and among many others. And once you spot the chimpanzees you will be given a period of one hour to be in the presence of chimpanzees will watching the chimpanzees feeding, playing, taking pictures, and recording the memories to show people home after the safari. After one hour you will trek back to the starting point where you will find your driver guide waiting for you. You will be served with lunch, and after lunch you will remain at your lodge while relaxing, spotting various wildlife across, and later you will be served with dinner, relaxation and overnight stay on your Uganda Safari.
Day 4: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide then embark on your journey, as you exist the park you will have amazing enroute morning game drive to spot the early risers in the park like elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs and among many others, minus forgetting spotting the various number of bird species and among many others. You will proceed with your journey and along the way to Kampala either in Luweero or Masindi you have a stopover for lunch, after lunch you will embark on your journey until you arrive Kampala, and you will advise you safari guide on whether he should drop you that is either at Entebbe International Airport for the flight back home or dropped to your hotel in Kampala.
