Day 1: Pick up and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
On the 1st day of the safari, depending on your location, your safari guide will pick you either from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Kampala. He will welcome you and then briefing about 4 days Uganda Double gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi. After the beefing you will start on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park in the south western part of Uganda and the journey takes you about 8 to 9 hours’ drive, through passing Masaka road. Along the way you will make a first stopover at the equator in Kayabwe to where you will take the stunning pictures, take coffee or simply purchase the souvenirs and having equator experience. After you will drive until Mbarara town, to where you will enjoy your en-route lunch, after lunch you will drive directly to the Bwindi with the thrilling views of the rolling hills, terraced farms and then be transferred to gorilla trekking sector, upon your arrival you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: 1st Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
On the 2nd day of the safari, get up in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast together with your packed lunch, meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups of about 8 members per group, and each group will be assigned with the experienced park ranger and park guide to lead them in the forest to look for the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas, this is where you will trek through the steep, densely forested hills while fascinated with the various primates, bird species, and animal species and among many others in the forest. Day 3: 2nd Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast you will be transferred to another gorilla trekking sector to trek a different gorilla family likely previous day for the gorilla trekking briefing at these sectors (Ruhija, Buhoma, Nkuringo and Rushaga) in Bwindi alternatively you as well be transferred to trek the Nyakagezi gorilla family in Mgahinga gorilla national park. After the briefing you will start to look for the habituated gorilla family, while passing across the wonderful views of the animal species, bird species, plant and then tree species across.
And once you find the gorilla family you will be allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas watching them doing their daily activities like hunting, grooming, feeding, playing, mating, taking pictures and recording their movies. After you can be transferred back to your lodge for relaxation or simply first go for the Batwa cultural tours this is where you are going to interact with the Batwa people, enjoying their dances and songs and among others, later you will be served with dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala
Wake up early in the morning on the last day of the safari you will be served with breakfast and after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari driver and start on your journey to Kampala with the massive views along the way and once you arrive in Mbarara, you will go for the en-route lunch and then after lunch you will proceed with your journey and once you arrive in Kampala you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at Entebbe International Airport to catch a flight back home and will make your safari come to the end.
